January 2011 features this fine `Cello by the London maker
Thomas Kennedy, circa 1820 and labelled `William Forster` for whom it was probably made.
Detail of the front showing the typical Kennedy `Grand Amati` outline and his distinctively shaped and positioned `f` holes
Detail of the beautifully arched back, this is typical of the better grade of instrument that this maker produced, the purfling is beautifully inlaid and the edge work clean and precise.
Close-up of the scroll, (the peg holes have been carefully bushed and the neck has been grafted).
The instrument is fully restored and set up ready to try, please call us to discuss any further details you would like to know about this beautiful `Cello
